An almost 100 year old Tram that runs through the beautiful city of Melbourne. It's been very well maintained and it's completely free to travel. You can use the tram to visit all the popular spots of Melbourne. A must do, if you visit here.

A quaint and interesting form of travel and iconic of Melbourne's CBD. You will meet many fellow travellers and locals as they too hop on and off these popular trams which are often packed. If you are weary, you can save some energy by walking downhill and hopping on when they go uphill. If you are driving for the first time into Melbourne's very busy CBD from the airport, watch out when you approach the tram lanes because these are one-way thoroughfares. Rental cars no doubt will be decked out with GPS systems which should help you to avoid any hairy, traffic situation! It's less scary if you familiarise yourself with the city first, ideally with a local at the wheel before you get behind it.

This 8am on a Tuesday.... it is busy and the trams are too infrequent for a big city like Melbourne. Step up Yarra Trams we are a city of 4.5 million people. Noone should be waiting for 20 minutes between services on Elizabeth St in 2019.

You can roam for free in Melbourne CBD region by tram. The free zone map is displayed at stop number 8. The trans run continuously and you don't need to wait very long. It's like long bus or we can say small train with 2 carriage or bogies. It's located just outside the building in which Melbourne central train station is located.
