Hellenic Museum Reviews | Rating 4.6 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Hellenic Museum is located in Melbourne, Australia on 280 William St. Hellenic Museum is rated 4.6 out of 5 in the category museums and institutions in Australia. The Hellenic Museum was founded by the late Melbourne businessman and philanthropist Spiros Stamoulis in 2007.   A first generation Greek, Spiros was a passionate Hellene who believed that Melbourne, arguably the cultural capital of Australia and home to the largest Greek community of any city outside Greece, should be home to Australia's first Hellenic Museum.   The Hellenic Museum strives to create a sense of community, educating Greeks and non-Greeks as to the importance and impact of Hellenic culture both ancient and contemporary. Occupying one of the country's landmark buildings, the former Royal Mint building, the Hellenic Museum continues to be a prominent cultural destination in Melbourne.
