Used to only fly with cheaper airlines but twice now I have gone with Virgin and paying slightly more is absolutely worth it virgins customer service makes all the difference. The desk people were polite and helpful, they communicated on a radio looking thing with the others and allowed me to fly even tho few mins late and I appreciate it a lot and the flight was still on time leaving and arriving with my luggage safe too. Exceptional service.

Well, that was awful, Active Soldier with only carry on, going to visit the family for Easter, was refused to board in to a domestic flight 35 minute prior to departure, because was too late... im sure 35 minute is enough time to check 1 human in to a flight. People can make the difference , but this time they just did not put the effort. Happy Holiday

The lady called V**a at terminal 2 check bag area has zero customer service. When we approach she did not say hello and with no smile. She wore a mask so I did not hear when she asked for my ID. When I requested her to repeat, she rolled her eyes which shocked me at the time. Even at the end, there is no routine " have a good flight" or anything like that. I have nothing against Virgin Australia and will continue to travel with Virgin as I do not want Australian to only have one choice of airline. However if Miss Ve** does not appreciate her job, there are many other people would love to have a job with an international airline. If Virgin Australia is keen to build their business porfolio in Australia it is probably a good idea to put more resources in strengthening customer service. As far as what I can research online, their overall scoring with customer service is only around 3/5... Which is pretty poor.

Had to do a bit of a juggle to get 4 guests in as 2 we're coming a bit late and nothing was to much trouble for the desk staff.

Virgin officer checked us in at Sydney domestic for our flight to New Zealand. He asked for our Visa reference numbers, onward flight details. Checked our luggage, handed us boarding passes. All this 2 hours in advance. When we presented ourselves to de transfer desk to international terminal, we were refused to travel. There where still 50 minutes before departure time. They refused us to board. It was “our” mistake that we had our luggage checked in at domestic, not at international. Again: there was plenty of time to transfer us and our luggage to international. The fact that Virgin’s employee checked us in, resulted in them offering us a “free” flight to New Zealand the next day!!!! We booked Jet Star instead. Loved Jet Star, best service ever.
