Comfortable though not fancy but I like that with kids. Plenty of room, activities and separate basement area for kids. Comfy beds that didn’t aggravate my back, and quiet apart from the wildlife! I think we hit peak cicada breeding period. They looked cute flying around though they are noisy if you are outside. Beautiful birds came right up to windows on on balcony area. Great place to relax with a big group of friends with kids. Plenty to do in the area. Nice food at local pub. Would come again.

Came down for the Great Southern Endurance Run, and after pulling out early, found myself without a place to stay for the night. That's when I found myself talking to Dave - he had a room available and met me within 30 minutes, explaining everything. The room was clean and comfortable, just the thing I was looking for after a gruelling mountain race! Thank you so much for helping me out at short notice!

16 of us stayed here over the long weekend, Plenty of room well equipped all you need is there. Host is excellent couldn’t do enough for us. The place is clean the only thing is it’s in need of an update. Suited us just fine.
We loved our stay at Marmott. Beautiful place, well equipped, plenty of room (perfect for large groups), comfortable bedrooms and great location (a stones throw from Mt Hotham and 1 minute walk to the pub if you’re looking for a meal out). David was amazing, lovely to deal with and very accommodating. Thanks for having us - will definitely be back next year!
This is the 7th or 8th year I have stayed at Marmot Lodge - each time running a 4 day leadership program based from it. This is the first time I have stayed here with Dave as the owner. He has made some fantastic improvements to the lodge, which added to the experience. I found Dave easy to communicate with, approachable and incredibly accommodating to our needs. He made sure we had everything we needed, but ensured we had our privacy. I will absolutely be staying here again with future Summits.
This is an amazing retro lodge set amongst gnarly gum trees and with spectacular views from the large deck. There is heaps of room for a large group and the lodge is well appointed with everything you'd need for a fun filled weekend away with friends and family. Thank you David for your hospitality and for dropping over to speak to us face to face when we needed assistance. Look forward to heading here again in the future
