If you are into Military History or just after a nice walk then take the hike up the big hill from Manly and spend some time exploring. There are heaps of options on walks and boardwalks etc. the routes are well covered on Google Maps.
Beautiful place to visit, lovely old buildings to explore. Fantastic views over the water to Sydney cbd & beyond. Well worth a look, you won't be disappointed.

There was lots to see as long as you are happy to do lots of walking. Those of you less inclined to walking you can drive to be close to the sights. You get a wonderful view of Manly and Sydney from the headlands. The cafe has great food and seems to be very popular with both locals and tourists alike.
