It was literally the worst emergency department ever! I was waited 4 hours before someone bring me to the room and waited for another half hour to get nurse to do the blood test and covid swap.after that another 2 hrs to get a doctor to check, apparently the doctor did what a gp was supposed to do and that’s it! I told them I had ear pain and sinuses pain and neck pain, they did not even offer me one Panadol. By the time they told me that I could leave the hospital,I was so happy and when I ask the staff where to exit they told me they need to print out some information paper for people who tested in their hospital, they made me wait another half hour which they had whole night to do so,then I snapped. Honestly for the money I pay,I feel So stupid to go there And for the 7 hours stay in hospital I was not offered any food and drink

DO NOT TAKE ANYONE YOU LOVE TO CABRINI EMERGENCY I took my son to Cabrini outpatients on 15th June around 5pm. I took him there because I was very worried he couldn’t stay awake for any longer than 10 minutes. His temperature and blood pressure, pulse and respiratory rate were taken on arrival but we were not attended to again He slept in the waiting room for almost 3 hours without anyone coming to see him. He snored and slept in the chair in the waiting room. I kept asking the triage nurse “how long do we have to wait? The answer "we are very busy" Yes that's why I didn't go to a public emergency because I wanted to be seen within the 15 minutes they advertise. After more than 3 hours I requested my money back as I had paid 410 to sit in a waiting room for nothing. Cabrini’s neglect contributed to him being admitted to Box Hill ICU for 5 days, with pneumonia, blood clots on his lungs and leg, a weakened heart and fluid retention. A situation that could have been avoided if your emergency department had been even a little professional. It annoys me beyond believe that you turned my son away after three hours without any attention to the severe determent of his health. However, Im sure its not your fault, maybe we arrived on a very busy night, that's excusable isn't it Cabrini?

My family and I have had to visit the emergency department here several times over the last 6 months and I have always had a really positive experience with wait times and medical staff. The facilities are excellent and getting scans and X-rays done was also very prompt. Comparing this to other emergency departments I've visited locally and overseas the experience here is excellent.

Terrible department. Doctors who fail to write up the medications they order, nurses who don't read the paltry notes that do get written, a nurse who attempted to discharge a patient at two in the morning without agreement from the treating doctor, etc, etc. Slovenly processes and an appalling standard of care.

Horrible experience. Quick access to see Doctor but once in the experience is a rapid free fall. Night shift Doctor couldn’t care less about the patients comfort or progress. Next to no communication with patients or family members and extremely slow to attend to needs once inside. Go elsewhere if your emergency isn’t life threatening at the first instance when the doctor check you.
