To whom it may concern, It was refreshing to deal with the team at United Renewable Energy. i received there flyer in the mail and was at first reluctant to call as i don't normally respond to junk mail. But thought i would call and see how much a solar system would cost they wouldn't give me a price over the phone. I thought this was strange but i spoke to a young gentlemen who persuaded me into an appointment (he was good at his job) at this stage i was still a little worried as i didn't want a salesmen come to my house that i couldn't get rid off. but then a lady by the name of Stephanie showed up and she was lovely and made it easy for me to understand how it works unfortunately i couldn't afford the system they had provided and Stephanie advised me not to purchase a smaller system as it wouldn't pose as much benefit to me in my situation i highly respect this as she could have sold me anything so i have decided to put solar on hold until i can afford it. Your Sincerely Sarah Kingston

We wanted to expand our existing solar system, and were considering offers/quotes. Received URSolar's flyer in the mail and was attracted by their 38c/kWh feed-in/rebate. Made contact and needed some detailed answers. Sent an e-mail asking for those answers 02/10/13, but no reply. Several follow-up 'phone calls, and the guy I initially spoke to did not return a single one. Every time I called he was "in a meeting", "visiting clients", whatever. Made a *new* enquiry, was told that a rep would be out to look at the site today, Tuesday 22 Oct. An hour before the rep was due, I got a call from the company saying that, because I had an existing system, I would not be able to get their 38c/kWh rebate on the new system. Back and forward with the woman who called, she says "new" means I have to *remove* my existing 1 kW system. I say "new" means "one that's not there yet". Simple use of English. They were told about my entire setup, including that I had an existing installation, right back in late September, confirmed by e-mail. There were/are no technical/regulatory barriers to the installation I was anticipating. Their flyer said "New orders only", which mine was. Make up your own mind. I certainly will not be dealing with them again, and will not recommend them to anyone. Ian.
