Great staff, they really know their stuff! I found a couple of great products here for my camper. An Australian 100% natural grey tank treatment. Works a treat. I also found a zip slide replacement for my fly screen

First some context, I love my Hobie Tandem Island! it is a brilliant design and I have owned two of them. The current boat is a 2015 Hull with all the new features which I bought from Doug at Maclean Outdoors in January 2017. Unfortunately, this particular boat seems to have missed some of the QA steps at the Hobie factory in California with a number of annoying faults that should have been picked up on the factory floor. Perhaps it was a Friday afternoon build! I don't live near Maclean and only visit the area to sail a few times a year and on this trip some of those annoying faults started to impact the operation of the boat so I arrange with Doug to bring the boat in on my way back to Brisbane before the warranty period expired at the end of January. For 2 1/2 hours, Doug and Tony beavered away sorting out the issues with the rudder up/down mechanism, replacing a damaged cheek block, grinding out some excess plastic moulding from the centreboard cavity and releasing the tension on the front seat height adjustment. They also replaced the front and rear lift handles under warranty as they had already started to split due to the mild steel embedded in the handle rusting (another design issue for Hobie to address). Doug and his team at Maclean Outdoors are brilliant! They understand customer service and they are really nice people. I can not recommend them too highly.
