Good for kids
I booked a 1.5 hour ride for my partner who is an experienced rider. I was told she would be able to canter once being assessed on riding ability. They never assessed riding ability and there was no opportunity to canter. so we paid 120 per person to walk. We were told to get there at 5:15 for a 5:30 start and we’re called at 4:45 stating that they were starting an hour earlier. Staff were rude and unapologetic about their miscommunication error. The scenery is beautiful and this is a great ride for first time riders and beginners. However if this was communicated to us we would have chosen to ride elsewhere that caters for more experienced riders.

Awesome horse riding experience for kids. My son loved his horse. The staff were friendly and kind enough to take some pics for us on ride. They charged 10 extra for adult rides on holiday time, which I felt bit high priced for 6 adults altogether. Overall a good experience and will definitely come back.
My husband and I had our first trail horse riding experience here at the hunter valley. The staff and guides were amazing and really made you feel like you knew exactly what you were doing. Our horses, Star and Axel were beautiful and so patient with us. We look forward to coming back!
By far the best horse riding experience I've ever had! I've been horse riding a fair bit over the years but this was the most personable and whole experience I've had. We had a small group so we were lucky enough to canter and have a bit more of a free ride. Sherry was amazing and a fantastic instructor! She took the time to talk to us about our horses, give us tips and tricks for riding and answer our million questions about horses in general. Our horses were beautiful and very well looked after. The property was amazing, very picturesque! We will definitely be coming back!
I'm so happy that I picked this place for my first horse riding. We had such an amazing experience with beautiful horses and a lovely staff. The horse trail had a very stunning view. It was absolutely peaceful. I felt so relaxed! I will definitely go back:)
This is one of the best places for horse riding. You can get the real experience of horse riding in the grassland. We took the 30min ride, nice staff, good for first time riders, they teach you all the commands. They have 1 hr rides as well, but we didnt try that since that was our first time on a horse :-) Kids loved it. We would go once again.
Booked two adventures in one day and both the tractor ride and horse ride was absolutely amazing. Margaret and her staff we so helpful and friendly. I cannot recommend Hunter Valley Horse Riding Adventures enough. I've been riding for years in Sydney and by far, this was the most fun I've had. We will be back for more fun soon
