Gem of a place! Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves walking about in the natural bushland. Dramatic landscapes and awesome views. We did the East-West Trail which skirts around the peak, and the Flinders Trail which takes you to the highest point itself. Toilet facilities and plenty of parking available.

One of my favourite places to visit. The walk itself is great and the view from the top is mind blowing. And of course, a lot of bird species :)

Do come here for a walk on cool weekends! Enjoy the view of Geelong, Avalon and Melbourne (only when air is very clear).

This park is excellent for the many bush walk paths. It's good for kids as well, but I wouldn't recommend for children below 5 years. It is not pram-friendly as well. We went on a volunteer-led bush walk through You Yangs Park up to the Big Rock. We enjoyed views from Big Rock and the flora along the way. The walk from the car park to Big Rock is a easy-medium difficulty walk that includes small hills and uneven ground. There are a couple of toilets and water fountains near the car parks. I hear the Flinders Peak walk is more difficult and rewarding. I plan to do that next.

A beautiful place to visit with family and friends for hiking and picnic. Track 1 with stairs is more secure if you have young kids. The second track around the mountain is less secured, so don't take any risk.

Easy access. A hard but rewarding walk to the top. Remember a hat and water. Get here early to beat the crowds.
