My friend and I attended the rifle range today. It was my friend’s first time at the range, a fact that was made abundantly clear to the staff by us. An employee by the name of Gary was extremely rude, spoke to us like absolute dirt and even yelled at us at one point despite me asking him several times to lower his voice. I suggested that perhaps if he had taken the time to explain the range rules to my friend instead of presuming he knew them - the whole thing would have been avoided. Gary said it was our fault, because we didn’t read the signage. Again, I explained to him that the there is no signage at the entrance for us to read. He then told me that we can in the wrong entrance. We followed the instructions exactly from the lady at the front desk, and the entrance we used was open and was being used by many others. I’ve attached a photo that proves this. Do yourself a favour, and train Gary how to speak to people in an appropriate manner. Yelling at people does not help anyone’s cause.

Great place to have a shoot. Weather sighting in a new scope, checking ammo accuracy or just putting holes in paper. Very well set up and terrific staff

Subtle differences between SSAA ranges but still great. Really enjoyable and welcoming time with my teenager thanks to the SSAA staff at the range and in the office. They were all very patient, informative (in all aspects) and helpful and then allowed you to continue at your own pace. Totally recommend the SSAA Eagle Park Range who also have reasonably priced rifle bags suited for your scoped rifles. The only constructive criticism is for you to be aware that the Eagle Park Range does not hire out rifles nor allow unlicensed shooters to use their range (unless they are supervised by an adult licensed shooter one on one). This is unlike the Springvale Range which hires out .22 rifles and allows unlicensed shooters to use their range (based on certain criteria). This is not a criticism of the SSAA Ranges but simply for you to be aware there are some differences even if they are both Victorian SSAA ranges so check first to avoid disappointment.

Great range in a fantastic setting with the You Yang's in the foreground. Staff always helpful and friendly even on bad weather days. If your a long range shooter I recommend getting to the range a bit earlier than you want so you have time out out your targets. My only suggestions would be for some better seats, the old tin or plastic school chairs aren't really the most ideal. And there could be a few more permanent steel targets around especially up the back at the 500/600m mark. I have been for a few months and I'm hoping the new roof has gone up on Range 1. That's well overdue

Great range for all firearms. Happy friendly staff. Safe directives, cafe onsite. Only downside is the entry road which is basically mud on a rainy day.

I recently just got my Firearms License and purchased my first rifle. I had never been to a range but today I went for the first time to Little River. I was nervous being my first time but the staff at the range were so inviting and patient and took me through everything. Amazing day and I will definitely be back and special mention to David the Range Officer who taught me so much especially how to stay safe. Will definitely be back A
