Lucky us we have this beautiful spot around! We always feel fresh and we go there highly recommend for families at all ages. Plenty parking spots available on the side Lady game dr. Also some parking spots are available inside the park but you need to buy a ticket. Lane cove national park has all facilities such as toilets, tables, seats, playground etc....

A lovely spot for singles, couples, families - one and all. Great for walking, cycling, kayaking, picnicking, BBQ's etc. There seems to be something for everyone here - I work in the disability sector and it's especially suited and popular for this sector. Early mornings and some late afternoons you'll hear plenty of birds. Sometimes after floods the amount of plastic that gets washed into the river can be very depressing. Today a lot of the East Coast is in flood. I'm adding a few perhaps unusual pic's taken today of when the river is unusually high at the weir.

Many ducklings in this area. Mum paddles beside them watching them like a hawk. Also, a water dragon sunning itself on a rock.

A very nice weir that separates the fresh water and salt water parts of the Lane Cove river. It allows for foot access across the river, so is a nice spot to come to be able to access the walking trails on either side. There is parking close by that requires a ticket at the main entrance.
