I stayed at my Boyfriends house for the weekend, it was very cold so I looked in the local gazette for a Fire wood supplier, finding an add for 2.5 m3 at a cost of 270, we made the call and placed the order. It came later than promised but luckily, we weren't going anywhere, so it didn't really matter that much. We payed using a credit card, but later found out that we were charged 100 more that advertised. Thinking it was just a simple mistake, we called back to ask why we were charged 370 and not 270 as advertised. We were told that we had been supplied good fire wood and we should have been supplied " off cuts " ( this is not what was advertised ) we were told that they would pick the delivered wood up the next day and replaced with "off Cuts". We would also be credited with the 100 back onto the card. We were told that Vintage Fire wood run two advertisements in the local paper, both under the same mobile number but with two different prices !!! We have still not heard from them as promised, they never came to pick up the so called Good Fire Wood, and still not had the 100 back. Be careful if giving this lot your credit card details, they take more than they should and under deliver with the very small amount of timber that they deliver. Social media is a very powerful weapon and I intend to fully use my options in order to inform people of the very bad service provided by this company. The one star that I had to give them in order to be able to leave a comment was one star to many, it should have been a zero......Very very poor service. Don't make the mistake we did, stay away from Vintage Fire Wood unless of course you want to be Burnt !

Used Vintage for a couple of years simply to support local business. Prices were initially more than everyone else but that was fine. When it doubled the first year it was no major, when it doubled again the following year we were out. Never again. Save yourself the headache and use Becky's Firewood. Better by every measure.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you give this business your credit card details EVER. We ordered and paid for 5 cubic square metres of firewood and when we stacked and measured it we only had 2. They charged us 700. We gave all the wood back and 2 weeks later, they took another 350 from our account today. I've just gotten off the phone from my bank and put in a fraud dispute. NO ONE SHOULD BE STORING YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS ITS ILLEGAL AND FRAUD. The business is registered at Flinders St, Lawson. I went there and its nothing but a empty block of land. When I initially demanded a refund the owner Mick or Michael (goes by numerous false names and has multiple companies listed in the Blue Mountains for buliding services) he physically threatened me and my property. I will be reporting him to local police. This IS NOT the same reputable business Vintage Ironbark from the Blue Mountains.
This is not the same Vintage Ironbark that existed for a very long time and provided excellent service and good quality wood. This company should be treated with caution. I have had one difficult experience dealing with them.
This company is not what they say. Their firewood is cheap and not vintage as advertised. It would not burn the way “iron bark” should. The volume ordered was no where near the volume that was delivered, in fact it was about a cubic metre less than what was ordered. And they “accidentally” charged my credit card twice, I rang back as soon I saw the charges duplicated and apparently I was mixed up with another lady of the same name who ordered exactly the same wood the same day and similar time. How you wouldn’t realise when you’re manually entering the card number, amazes me, as my details should have been disposed of straight away. This company is not what it seems and I DO NOT recommend them AT ALL
Great firewood, quick service, great price. We've used Vintage for our holiday cottage for over 5 years and could not recommend Heather any more than we already are. Keep going :)
