If I was to recommend student accommodation for your daughter or son it would not be Metro on Central. From the first day to the last day and beyond our daughter's experience was unsatisfactory to say the least. It is also obvious that Metro on Central is not just student accommodation so if that is what you are looking for then this is not the place. I could provide a lot more negative feedback but the message is pretty clear if you are a student - look at other options. For owners of these Units I would seriously look at how the complex is being managed. We still had at least 3 1/2 years of accommodation requirements for our daughter but we have now moved her elsewhere and extremely happy with the change.

The location is fantastic. ALDI is 1 min walk away. And some restaurants just nearby. The complex shuttle bus is the best way to go griffith uni. Bonnie always provide the best service as she can. T

I would not recommend living here. A mix of people live here, not entirely students. Don't know if students are still living at metro to be honest Rooms are not cleaned when you move in because no one ever comes in to clean them when you leave and there's also a 200 cleaning fee that comes out of your bond before you get your bond back Sometimes bond isn't returned maybe for other reasons. I didn't have a problem I just know no one cleans the rooms. We had ants in our unit which no one ever came to inspect or control This place is very loud, people fighting at times and loud music. You can't study here either Not impressed and would expect others to rethink about your stay. It's not worth 200 a week and definitely not more than that Also it takes 2 public buses to uni with an hour trip so it's time consuming and thee metro bus is 20 bucks for 10 rides lasting a week or so which is expensive. The manager doesn't really care about safety or what you have to say if something is wrong. She just makes sure you are out of the office quickly so she can avoid it and continue to make money when no one good really wants to live here anymore. Have a great stay if you must. I feel sorry for you.

Manager Bonnie has no regard for tenants. The facilities were fine, but the woman from Wuhan will fleece you to line her pockets, any chance she gets! She doesn't knock, when visiting unannounced and she even moved an ice addict into the place when I had told her it was not on!! How does she keep her job!?? Current tenants should take it to the ombudsman

This complex is allegedly advertised as student accommodation. It cannot be explained when there are non students residing here. Signing that contract is a mistake all students who came here did. When they leave, they have that unforgettable trauma that they experienced during their time here. Now, all the negative reviews dissing the onsite manager... in fact, each unit has their own landlord. But to warn everyone, those negative reviews happen to be true. The over priced rooms are not worth for what they are advertised as. The location is not convenient and the clientele is filthy (a better term could have been used, but this is the only one that came in mind). To keep the review as short as possible. Do not enquire here, it is indeed a place that breaches health and safety hazards. Not to mention the duty of care does not exist. It is sad to come to the point of questioning your safety and even feeling any forms of harm or fear upon yourself in your own unit... and room. This place is psychologically detrimental. Your mental health matters, your wellbeing matters... everything in this place does not consider what matters.

Would not recommend - Poor value for money at 225 a week, which was paid for months while stuck interstate during COVID-19 Pandemic. Apartment was filthy on arrival, however management will attempt to charge you a cleaning fee upon leaving. There is no functioning gym or games room as advertised.. Lots of hidden fees, such as the Metro Bus to and from Griffith University as well as the carpark, carpark also floods annually... Bond was not returned upon vacating the residence. This housing is obviously social housing as well as for students.. Bonnie and the groundsmen enter the apartment with no notice etc. Save your time and money, go elsewhere.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE. ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! This place is not a healthy environment under any circumstances. The amount of people that have been here and left all for the same reasons. It is not safe. There are not all students living here, and the ages between the people ranges. It is not a comfortable living space, not worth the money. There is a serious drug, alcohol and violence problem here. Please read all other negative reviews they are ALL TRUE.

Stay away from Metro One Central. What a dive! It's not student accomodation. The Chinese woman ("Bonnie") who is the caretaker looks dishevelled and runs the place like a gulag. I have seen a motley crew of people from tradies to suspicious looking characters with tattoos all over them. The place is a mess. Car park flooded 3 times with mosquitoes every where for weeks. Rat baits all over the joint. Not a good sign. I also suspect drug dealing is running rife with loud noisy parties. Nothing is done but the caretaker is quick to take "your money" out for things that have already been covered.
