You have to pay to walk in. Oh, and pay to breathe. And don't you think about blinking! That's extra. Openly sneered at for not being able to afford something (Do not judge by looks my friend) and treated like a criminal if you dare touch something. The pieces are beautiful but the people are just plain arrogant and nasty.

A quality collection for the true antiques collector. Run by 2 friendly and knowledgeable history buffs. So refreshing to discuss the pieces in the context of historical events that shaped the culture and aesthetic of the eras they represent.
Been on most shops around Kyneton and friendly atmosphere, nice people to deal with around most shops until my wife walks in to this shop, takes a photo of a mirror to send me to see if I like it so we can buy it and the arrogant thing taking care of the shop has a go at my wife because she took photos of the mirror. As some other comments looks like the owners are rude, arrogant and on top of all they dont like people taking photos. Apparently there was a sign saying no photos to be taken, fair enough the sign was there as I went inside the shop to see it myself. Someone has to teach these un-educated dude running the shop how to approach customers that are unaware of his signs. Money does not buy politeness and education thats for sure. For what I can see with other comments and reviews other customers have come outside this place with a bad experience. Good luck shopping here, this dude missed selling us a 1600 dlls mirror.
My wife and I have visited this store regularly over the past 5 yrs , it is hard to believe that people have posted negative comments about the attitude or service offered, if people who have no appreciation of antiques make in store stupid comments they are the ones with a problem , Top marks to this store on service, attitude, knowledge and value for money.
Horrendous experience. Atrocious customer service. Rude and self important owner. The other half patrols the shop like the local militia. Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere. There are plenty of fantastic antique shops in Kyneton with warm and friendly staff, this ain't one.

This is simply a must-see for the true Antiques lover..... good quality pieces, as described, and the friendliest proprietors you will find anywhere. Well worth the trip.........
