I would never purchase a horse through this place ever again! un professional Management. They make major decisions that should be voted on by the owners in regards to changing trainers. They have turned an exciting and fun experience into a nightmare, and refuse to take any responsibility for their actions. Look around as there are a lot more options if you want to enjoy the experience of owning a race horse.

Horse racing can be very “blokey” so one of the things I like about First Light is the number of women who work there, that’s a plus for me. First-rate communication, horse updates from the trainers, early morning gallop footage presented like a little film clip put to music are some of the things you get for your monthly fee and more stuff is being added to the weekly newsletter and website all the time. Quality of horses offered is impressive and training in partnership with some of the best. We are enjoying the ride for sure! Come and join in the fun.
I am involved with two horses through First Light Racing. When owning a small share in a racehorse, you can often struggle to get information from the trainer. The regularity and quality of information that we as part-owners receive from the FLR staff (and often from the trainer directly) is first class; certainly streets ahead of anything I’ve had in previous racehorse ownership experiences. Getting group Zoom calls with the trainer on race day is really impressive. The first-time owners in my syndicate have been blown away with how good the service and communication is.
Took my first steps into racehorse ownership with First Light Racing 4 years ago. The team were very helpful in explaining all the facets of ownership to someone who knew little at the time but wanted to enjoy the benefits of racehorse ownership without the massive costs. I took the plunge with a small share in a filly - now I've got share's in 3 more with FLR! I've found the best thing about ownership through FLR is that you are made to feel part of "the stable" where you receive detailed and regular comms ( emails, videos, photos) not just on your horse(s) but on FLR events for owners, other runners in the stable, interviews with trainers and other stable news. The team also have arranged for me to meet my horses and trainers many times - which is epic and just part of what they do for you as an owner. Great bunch of genuine racing people to deal with.
Pretty inexperienced in horse racing! Run by two blokes.... talk all ten horses up and have been fined by Racing Australia previously!
Read their PDS very well.... shifty! Plus they were also fined by Racing Australia for unethical practices, google it. Very poor strike rate in winning too.
