Birubi Art sells work that rips off Aboriginal Australian artists. All products are produced and decorated overseas - in Indonesia, using motifs and styles similar to Indigenous Australian art. However, these styles aren't real stories and haven't been touched by real Aboriginal Artists in Australia. Birubi Art is now in Liquidation and has been fined 2.3 million dollars for selling fake Indigenous art. Buy real Aboriginal Art. Get a certificate of authenticity. Support artists.
This company was just found guilty of selling aboriginal art actually made in Indonesia rather than by Indigenous Australians. Made the news, easily found on Google.
I wish I could rate less than 1 star. The people behind this company need to be made public in an effort to prevent them from returning to this kind of business
Unethical company selling fake Aboriginal art. The owners need to be imprisoned and further publicly shamed.
Terrible service and fake art. Would not buy. Semele was quite rude and not sure how she is able to work in the position.
