Beautiful spot for a quick stopover or spend all day over here, facilitated with a barbecue and public toilets. Amazing spot created by the Nature, but abandoned by people, deeply sorry for this. However it could a destination to be placed in "Have it Done" list.

Little known geo thermal lava lamp type display in a small pool at Kimberly. The reserve has a Barbeque, picnic tables and well maintained public toilet. At first glance nothing seems untoward until you focus on the 3 or 4 white patches on the pool floor. The warm water upwelling stirs these patches of sand and the presence of quite a bit of black sand in the mixture starts to give a mesmerising swirl of patterns much like the old lava lamps.

The sand on the bottom of the pond bubbles volcanically , but the water is hardly warm at all. It should be called kinda tepid springs. The algae on the top looks kinda gross, but the water is very clear and clean.

Think the state government should get this area cleaned up it would be a better place 2 visit then. Appalling not like when I was a young teen.

I don’t think you would swim in these springs as there is any of algae around. The water at the entry spot is not really warm either. It is cool to see the earth bubbling via the spring through the clear water. Also it is a nice spot for a picnic/ rest stop including with toilets and bbq facilities.

Lovely spot for a BBQ, a picnic and to have a swim if you are that way inclined. A mesmerising experience watching the warm waters rise from the bowels of the earth.
