You couldn't ask for a more positive experience. Free, no pressure quote by a knowledgeable company rep after an on-site inspection. (This is important. Companies who only do phone quotes are padding the price in case your installation is difficult.) The Hot and Cold Shop only contract out installation jobs to trusted, competent tradies. Friendly, neat lads who are happy to take a little more care to minimise visual impact. We bought very high quality MHI A/C's. (If you can't buy Oz at least don't buy Chinese.)

These guys are the worse. Arrived 2 hours late and made out they had one small item on the job card. I called the office to check and they read out the list in and in detail. Technician was rude and pig headed and out none of the works where on his card. When I followed up with an email I got a message back saying I was the one who treated them badly and they won't be attending again because I was mean to them. Disgraceful service and to put the blame back on the customer for their own techs rudeness and uncooperative behaviour is just wrong. I advise anyone to stay away.
Purchased split system airconditioning in 2019, by december 2020 it had run out of gas due to an installation fault and left us with no aircon for a few days in summer. They had told us they would come to repair first thing in the morning - we waited and waited, they turned up at 3 in the afternoon! 2 months have passed since their 'fix' and the unit has run out of gas again. They were meant to come fix it today before lunch but haven't turned up, my partner and I waited for them and we have places to be. They have now told us they will come at wednesday at 12:30, here's hoping they do come and actually fix their problem that we paid for on time because I don't have much trust in them at this point.
