Good for kids
Get up and personal with the Flying foxes, watch them in awe from this well positioned platform. I was told this was the best bat viewing spot in town, i now agree.

Thought this was a city lookout but surprisingly found so many bats for viewing!!! It's kind of scary but at the same time stunning to see so many bats!!!
Hidden gem so near to the city where you get so up close and personal with these fascinating creatures. Great for the kids!
Never expected that many Flying foxes during daytime, they roost upside down in the tree near by water along with Yarra river close to Bellbird picnic area you can find viewing platform you can observe them from different spots along the trail and sometimes they looking at you right up the trees they are having a rest.
Secluded, quiet and you can't miss the bats. Toilets and picnic facilities nearby.
One of my favourite places in Melbourne! Colony of flying foxes hanging from the trees during the day and heading off to feed in the evening. Nice walking paths along the river as well and if you climb up to the park there is a great view of the city - a perfect spot for relaxation and for taking some nice photos.
It’s very good place for picnics with family and friends .. good for BBQ.. play ground for kids and walking track who love to go for tracking cycling and photography... the bridge , boating and cafe for coffee and light snacks
