I have a Tibetan spaniel and the lady whom I dealt with was really helpful and knew alot about the breed. I had gone into petbarn to get dry dog food and my dog is happily eating the one recommended .

Found an item which showed was in store for 22.99, drove out to the store and confirmed it was the correct product however once at the checkout it scanned at 29.99 and I advised the staff it is advertised online at a different price. She asked to see it so I found it and showed her however she was not going to match the price without me signing up and becoming a member, I politely refused as I don’t need to sign up for them to rectify the price issue. The manager “Kylie” kept refusing unless I signed up, I brought up the website of the ACCC which states that if the price displayed from the same store it must be given at that price however still refused as their policy was different. I walked out and I suggest not only Kylie but also the staff understand the legal obligations when working within any industry, I will be taken the matter further with ACCC and making formal complaints against both staff members who I dealt with as this is unacceptable and goes against what the law states. Very unprofessional. Pet stock across the road was more than happy to price match, provide great service and knew the law.
