Super sad my visit here only allowed me to appreciate cloud formations instead of stars, nebula and galaxies but the company, food and drink were awesome.

Kalbar Observatory is located approximately 1 hour south of Brisbane and is the home for Star Gayzers Dark Sky Field Trips. Michael and Andy graciously host events for Star Gayzers usually once a month and provides great facilities for astronomers to set up their own equipment on-site for night viewings. Facilities also include limited on-site accommodation, and plenty of room for camping. Members, visitors and guests are welcome to attend any of the Star Gayzers dark sky field trips at Kalbar Observatory or at other times by appointment by contacting Michael directly.
