The food here at Bobo's was high quality fare, but with so many awesome diner-style options on the menu, it was far too easy to over-order. It's quite reasonably priced, too. The place was really quite busy, and with the DJ mixing beats, the din of the crowd was quite deafening. The noise didn't detract too much from the food, however.
It's always been really impressive, but lately, they keep kinda charring the burgers a bit too much on the outside :( the inside of the meat tastes okay however, just that I feel like I'm biting on charcoal. The fries are amazing! The beer selection is generally impressive. The service is always very super friendly and helpful. I can't comment much on the other things on the menu cos I feel I only ever go there when I'm craving burgers :) I have faith they'll get their "stuff" together and go back to making the amazing burgers that got me hooked in the first place.
I've eaten at Bobo's Diner several times over the last two years. Very friendly and happy staff, tasty and filling American food, very comfortable atmosphere.. Overall a great place to catch up with friends for an informal and relaxing dinner.
Disappointing. My wife ordered Jack Daniel ribs, which she loves. The sauce was full of chunks of star anise and something gritty, meaning you basically have to wipe the sauce off the ribs to avoid getting a mouth full of aniseed and grit. The burgers on the menu are all double. I only wanted a single, so they removed a patty, but the price was still 20 and its impossible to pick it up to eat it. Its not a burger if you have to use a knife and fork. Ordered onion rings which supposedly come with aoli sauce. When the stack of onion rings was placed on the table I asked where is the sauce that goes with it - they explained it was smeared on the plate BENEATH the onion rings. I told them that was ridiculous and they brought me a ramekin of dipping sauce, which is what a normal person would expect. We won't be returning. We visited before and I had a beautiful pastrami sandwich, piled high like they do in the States, but they've discontinued that in favor of the present rubbish.
Great food and staff. Ribs were delicious and the Vaughan burger (pulled pork & slaw) brilliant. Thursday special was the 1 Louisiana wings. Could have eaten them all night. Atmosphere let down only by radio station playing over speakers and the multiple large screen tv's showing multiple free-to air channels. (distracting)
