As a retailer, I appreciate being acknowledged upon arrival, asked if I needed help, offered clearly years of experience and advice, a smile, and an easy transaction. All of this was offered and without a smarmy hiiiiiiiii. As to the shoes, love them. I am so pleased that I didn't buy Skechers and sought Intersport out. The name on my receipt says that I was served by Shannon. I hope this is correct as she is a true asset to your company. Thank you.

Cheerful staff but that's about as far as it goes. I bought a pair of runners about 6 months ago. I returned them as they were hurting my feet and I ended up with huge blisters - which the staff were aware of. I explained to the staff member what type of footwear I was looking for. So it was definitely clear what I needed. The pair were returned to Asics head office and a larger pair were exchanged. A comment from the staff - Oh I see they now have size 9 in. Wow! Does that mean that I was sold a pair of runners so she could make a sale? The pair I was presented were brand new - not seconds - and I wore them. Still my feet were quite sore but I thought I would give them a go. I walk, about 100-130km a week. I had the runners for 5 1/2 months and they were worn through. When I returned them to Intersport they took them back stating they would return them to Asics and get back to me with their response. A staff person phoned me about a week later - and spoke quite quickly (a male, but even when I asked his name again I still couldn't understand him), I really couldn't get the whole context of Asics response but surmised that Asics said it was normal wear and tear and did I want the runners thrown away. Really? 5 1/2 months? General walking around Surfers Paradise, not running, not in the water, not on rocky paths, not up mountains, only on set footpaths. So disappointed. I have had Asics in the past which have lasted longer and more comfortable but this would be the last time I purchase Asics if their expiry date is less than 6 months. I didn't purchase seconds nor was I told that they would only last a short period of time. It certainly has been a learning experience and one that I won't repeat again. A very very expensive lesson learned.

I purchased a pair of black shoes for my son at 4.36pm yesterday, these were fitted by the store assistant. He took about 10 steps out of the shop before I noticed they were slipping off at the heel. I sat him on a bench and tightened the laces and asked him to take another few steps with the same issue. I went back into the store approx 10 minutes after paying 100 for the shoes to explain that they weren't right and was told that there was nothing they could do and that I could not have my money back. The shoes did not fit properly, he had walked a total of 20 steps in them and I lost a very fast (and very hard earned) 100. Customer satisfaction - zero. Customer care - zero. I will never again spend money in this shop and will advise anyone that I meet against it too. In the days where internet reviews influence future shoppers it is very short sighted of any business to think that making a sale is more important than doing the right thing.
