Let's stop offering customers plastic carrier bags? Tie a knot and send them on their way. Staff serve with alacrity and a smile. The crabs look less than happy though.

This is opposite Woolworths in Westfield Hornsby. This is my go to place for seafood. Normally fresh seafood with a good range. You need watch for some of the imported ones such as pomfret to make sure it's fresh.

This is the place for fresh seafood in Hornsby. They have it all from live crab, prawns, oysters, fresh filleted fish, whole fish and sashimi. The range is extensive and may vary slightly depending on the catch. The staff are always pleasant and very helpful. I have never waited long to be served. The shop is packed and if you have a pram, wheel chair or trolley you may have to ask at the front counter for someone to grab what you are looking for.

Fresh fish more convenient than the fish market and just as fresh!

Bought cooked "fresh" king prawns at 38 today! Only 2 prawns out of the 1.5kg had their antenna in tact, which tells me they have been frozen. The shells were not firm and crisp but soggy, paper like, and difficult to peel. I'm not sure what fresh means to this fish monger but for me it means never frozen and not more than a day old... Extremely disappointing and misleading, especially when you ask and the sales assistance confirms they are fresh and never frozen! They will not let you taste the prawns to confirm their quality... I will never be buying this over priced old seafood from these cheats and liars again! If you want guareenteed quality, freshness and value head to Faros Brothers at Marrickville. Well worth the trek!
