Very pleasant interlude. If you can spare time the walk back to the city via Sailors Walk is full of history and views

Very nice place to go and admire the gardens which features a wide variety of plants from all over Australia and New Zealand and various parts of the world. You could spend the day there and have a picnic or you can pick up a bite to eat from the cafe.

Spent a lovely sunny Hobart mitigate wandering around this absolute gem of a place. Very impressed with the Japanese garden with its beautiful autumn display. Can imagine this place would be spectacular in Spring. Definitely worth adding to your itinerary.

Beautiful and well maintained. Whether you want to spend an hour or the whole day, there is plenty to look around. There are plenty of lawns to laze around on, have a picnic or just run around with the kids. Don't miss the lily pond. In my opinion, It's the best of the lot

Absolutely stunning gardens. Beautiful family day out. Only let down was the rude staff member in the Cafe who felt it acceptable to click his figures at the chef when asking for butter. Food ridiculously over priced and chai latte was like water with a teaspoon of milk. If we didn't stop for brunch, I would have given 5 stars.

One of the best botanical gardens I have visited. There are several different areas, each showcasing different categories of plants. A nice cafe, with opting grass hills to have a picnic and a view of the Derwent River.

This is a must visit. Beautifully curated and a great showcase garden. Excellent days outing for quiet walking and exploring. Enjoyable for nature and photography enthusiasts. Definitely a public treasure with a long history dedicated providing a quality experience to the public. Great for multiple visits thru the calendar year.

There are numerous kinds of plants and flowers from different countries which make the collection of the botanical garden more special. The whole garden is exceptional huge and I cannot discover all parts in one day. It is an ideal place for family picnic or gatherings. There are so many interesting areas that I have never ever seen before. Highly recommend to anyone who is interested in trees, plants and flowers.
