Not sure the justification for bad reviews here. This has been my third dining experience at Nakano and the whole experience has been amazing. I may be a gaijin but the food was fantastic and the hosts were extremely friendly. I’d confidently give it a solid 9/10. Give it a crack before you rely on those few disgruntled (and IMHO unfounded) Google reviews.
Excellent food, what an ambience even for a Monday night! The staff is so friendly and cheerful even at such a busy place. Loved sitting inside without shoes. Everything was just fabulously delicious and even the drink was so refreshing! Would surely come back to this place. Just one thing to add that the menu is too short and being vegetarians we hardly had a choice.
Worst service I’ve ever encountered! We are nearly finishing off our last glass of sake... and they asked us to change table because there are table of 4 wanna come in.. while there are tables available but they said it’s closed for cleaning... I really don’t get the service here... they are closed for cleaning and ask us to move because new customers wanna come in? We just quickly finish off our last glass and let them do their business while they said closed.
I loved everything about this place! The food, the ambience, the service and the drinks were great! Staff were very friendly and attentive and actually seemed like they enjoyed working there which says a lot about a place! Absolutely loved the Japanese street bar feel. Will definitely be back!
Best Japanese in Sydney. Best Karaage chicken in Sydney. Great music, fair prices and a very nice manager. Best Friday night out in Darling Square!
Loved the atmosphere and decor, takes me back to Japan! Simple yet tasty izakaya menu with an awesome drinks menu. Recommend you make a booking to secure a spot.
