If you want to know what’s the taste of real beef ribs try this wonderful restaurant. The prices are high, but you will be satisfied with delicious meal. On top of that beautiful customer services make you more happy and comfortable Thank you ️

Not impressed at all. I heard about this place a lot and how it is an epitome of finely cooked ribs and steak. Your tasting plate was amazing but then ribs platter blew it all. Ribs platter was barely warm enough and beef ribs were very chewy and rubbery. Chips were just warm and sorta soggy. Customer service was lovely though.

Solid, if rather meat focused, restaurant. Lunch prices for a more limited menu are decent. Salmon tartare is a nice starter. Meat is generally cooked to specification and well rested. Clientele appears to be 75% male.

I organised a client dinner at The Meat & Wine Co in Hawthorn East for last night and was totally blown away. First off, upon organising the dinner the staff at Meat & Wine Co were very accommodating as to the lead up to the dinner numbers had changed and even the night we booked for had changed. Staff at Meat & Wine Co were fantastic with their communication and flexibility. Two of my guests who had attended this venue before had requested some additional dishes to the set menu which the staff were more than happy to include which was also much appreciated. We were seated in a beautiful private room where we were able to carry conversation with people next to us or to others on the table with ease and the wait staff were on the ball with taking drinks and food orders. The food itself was nothing short of exceptional. I had glazed pork belly as an entrée and it was better than expected. Full of flavour and amazing. I had 300g Shorthorn fillet steak cooked rare for mains and this was one of the best rare steaks I've ever had. Desert was a baked cheesecake which again exceeded expectations. Thank you to all of the staff for an exceptional night. You guys made me look good in front of my clients! We will definitely be coming back.

Excellent food, although some dishes on the salty side. 100% recommend the garlic bread, chips, calamari and the bruschetta and their rib-eye is pretty good. The overall ambience of the restaurant is inviting and cosy, very suitable for all occasions, except not the most appropriate for small kids. The space also has good ventilation so you don't come out smelling like a barbecue.

Recently celebrated a friend's birthday at the Hawthorn East restaurant. Given that this is a 'meat' restaurant, it is reasonable to expect great - juicy, well-cooked meat. The steak we ordered as 'medium rare' was over cooked (definitely well done) and the lamb shoulder was also extremely overcooked - not even the faintest hint of pink. The staff were friendly enough however, we found ordering more difficult than it needed to be. The desserts were ordinary and I suspect were mass produced off-site. Overall, a very disappointing evening. There are other much better 'meat' restaurants in Melbourne. Disappointed.

I just celebrated my 40th birthday at Meat & Wine Co in Hawthorn East. We had a table of 16. From the time of booking to the end of the celebration, I could not fault the Meat & Wine Co and their staff. The food was delicious - not one person didn’t enjoy their meal! The service was quick and friendly, and the birthday cake they arranged was devine and so reasonably priced. There was plenty of room on the table - they didn’t try and squash us in. We had a set 3 course menu which was again reasonably priced. Plenty of options for each course, and very generous servings. A special shout out to our waiter Pierre who was just fabulous and so cheery! Thank you so much Meat & Wine Co! I’ll be back!
