A really disappointing experience after initially being so excited about our new fireplace installation. The footings of our new mantle came in about 1 cm wider on each side of the new hearth, and even though I loved the look of our new fireplace this one problem left me feeling very disappointed. After a phone call to discuss the issue, through which I was spoken to very rudely, I was left feeling like I had made a huge mistake in choosing this company. An apology did come a few days later, and the offer of replacing the hearth at their expense, but the problem with this was our renovations had been completed a few days earlier and the knock on effects would have been disastrous. New plaster, paintwork, ect. All this a couple of weeks before Christmas. We were left paying for a handyman to replace the skirting board which had been removed in the installation process and also for the beading which we ended up placing around the hearth to hide the error. On top of all this you don’t get a tray to catch the ashes - that’s an extra 195 apparently. No other form of compensation came our way. There are a lot of other fireplace installation companies out there so go to them first.
Great service and an excellent transformation of our old fireplaces
No reviews available when we purchased a fireplace a few years ago. Black paint spilled on our carpet. 2 damaged fire fronts delivered and eventually we were given the shop display one as a temporary measure, but whenever I called to ask when the new one we'd paid for would arrive, I got the run around. I gave up after about 18 months! We had decided to support a local business but very disappointing.
These guys do some amazing fireplaces. Very happy.
