I have dined several times recently with friends for lunch and my partner and I have been for dinner. We loved the food. The staff are attentive and welcoming. Relaxing views ... overall a great experience. Definitely recommend!!

18 April. I took 2 more friends to try again, dissapointed again. We paid the 30 for fish of the day grilled, the fish was dry and barely adequate. The other 2 meals were well presented and the calimari was great, however both over falavoured. 3 stars is the best I can give again and I will not come back till the menu changes. 23 March 2021 the ownership has changed hands, unfortunately the prices have increased significantly and 2 of our 4 meals were poor; one was not consumed. Staff were as lovely as ever and the desert was presented beautifuly.We will try it again to see if it improves. ....................................................................................................................12 Jan 2021 and 4 more great meals, it must be one of the best in Gympie. Always great food, friendly staff and good value. I have dined here at least 12 times over the last 4 years and never had a bad meal. The location is beautiful and Gunabul House is a wonderful old building. Gympie is very lucky to have you.

Lovely setting - tranquil on the large verandahs, great service - smiling, happy caring staff, awesome meals - perfect size using exceptional local produce, will return!
Food was tasty and good portion sizes. We were there for a wedding, so it was alternate drop. This did not impact the willingness of the staff to try to accommodate a picky eater. In addition the staff were super friendly and efficient with clean up and once bringing out dishes.
Nice atmosphere. Very nice Grilled Baramundi and salad. Calamari is nice too.

This place used to be fantastic.new owners and new chef.terrible overpriced menu.you will only go there once.we have eaten there twice a week for years but will never go back.what a pity.the chef doesn't even know how to cook a chicken parmy
