My Mum moved into Aveo with relatively minor care needs. The model here is perfect for her. Whilst well and able she still cooks for herself and gets out and about but I have the knowledge that she is visited 4 times a day to see how she is going and as her health deteriorates she will get additional support . All the people who work there have been incredibly friendly and kind to her (and myself). It feels like a community and I feel she is looked after and truly cared for and valued.

My mother was a resident at the Freedom Aged Care Village in Grovedale for about 10 years, the last 6 being under Freedom / Aveo ownership. Initially she required moderate assistance, later high care due to dementia, then palliative care. The love and care provided by Freedom staff was exceptional during all of these phases, with many examples of caring and kindness above what might normally be expected. Because of the quality of the care she received, and Freedom's commitment to providing whatever level of assistance was needed, she was able to remain at the village for the last ten years of her life with her "Freedom Family". Our family will always be grateful for the quality of life my mother was able to experience in her latter years, in no small part due to the care and kindness of the Freedom staff.
My Mother, Betty and her dog, moved into Freedom Aged Care Village, Grovedale, about two years ago. She enjoyed living there and walking around the well kept gardens at the facility. The Staff were always professional, caring and considerate when dealing with her which made us happy that she was in a secure and caring environment where she was treated with respect as her Dementia progressed.
The team at Freedom Geelong are extremely helpful, caring, friendly and accommodating.
The staff are fantastic and care for the residents very well.
I was living at this facility when 'Freedom' took over. These are nasty people that should be avoided. Have nothing good to say about this company. Glad I got out.
