Ivor Carter

This house belonged to my Great Great Grandpa and Grandma Thomas and Jane Carter who owned 82 acres around where the remains stand. They migrated to Australia in 1840 from Cornwall with their two and a half month old son and they went on to have a total of ten children. Their is a book that has been written of the history of the Carter Family entitled Carter Family History 1813-1985.

Just a lovely place to walk and play Pokemon and Ingress if you like those kind of things.

Interesting part of our family history- Thomas and Jane Carter arrived on the Waterloo in 1840, Thomas worked for Mr Arthur Hardy in 1843, and soon bought and cleared his own farm.
