I’ve been to the gold mine tour twice and it has been a gold digging experience with my family. I would only recommend not going during the summer times, despite having long holidays during the time as you might not be able to enjoy as much as you normally would. I got to dress up as the Victorian people back at the time and took photos of myself in black and white, which was an amazing experience. You would basically learn about the gold mines era from the Australian history, as they take you on mini tours on how people used to work and the stories. Another thing I want to mention is that there is an option to come back again the next day as there is a lot of areas to go to, and if you struggle to keep up with the walking, come back with the same ticket and continue with where you left off. That way, you won’t have to rush into finishing the tour and walking too much in one day.

An engaging place to find out how gold was mined in the old days. There are 3 rides one could choose from: the Gold Labyrinth, Trapped and another that I cannot recollect. I chose the labyrinth one was takes miles below the surface where we could see the read gold deposits ans the caves and equipment used to dig the caves. One should note it's sort of dark below (they do have dim lights) so if one is afraid of the dark despite the company of many people, one might think before choosing this one. However I do want t emphasize that the gold deposits below is truly breathtakingly beautiful

The former Ballarat gold fields are now transformed to tourist attraction. Visitors can have hands on experience of Gold panning, a manual technique of separating gold from other materials!! Wide, shallow pans are filled with sand and gravel that may contain gold. The pan is submerged in water and shaken, sorting the gold from the gravel and other material. Gold is much denser than rock, it quickly settles to the bottom of the pan. Tour to underground deepest hard rock gold mine is new experience. Experience the difficulty of extracting gold through tunnels or shafts.
