A massive thank you to the security officer near the ED Mr Brave. You were really kind and professional towards me today. A hospital can be a daunting place for most but people like you make it pleasant. Thank you for making my difficult day a bit better as I visited my sick friend today. Hope you are well looked after by your bosses and you will continue to be a great security officer. Thank you Brave and the entire crew at the hospital

This hospital has quite good doctors and nice rooms compared to other public hospitals I have been in. Food is very typical or a hospital with other quite-mediocre options on level two such as a cafe and a auxiliary shop which sells a variety of snacks. Staff have been quite nice but nurses can be a bit hit and miss dependent on their mood or time of day. There are a large variety of areas to rest outside of hospital rooms such as community and family rooms on every Ward and floor. There is also a large waiting area in the lobby on level two where the cafe, shops, chemist, reception and entrance are all located. The hospital itself is very clean and has a lot of support services. It is also quite decorated creating a friendly atmosphere.

After moving to Canberra, I had some trepidation using this hospital, being used to Royal Prince Alfred in Sydney, which obviously has a great reputation and which we loved. But if anything I think the care we've received at Canberra Hospital has been even better.

Has to be the worst hospital I have been too. Originally from Victoria but came up for Easter with family. My 2 year old son had split his eye open on the coffee table. 5 hours of waiting and still nothing. They have him in the adult ward as children's ward is full (understandable) he has been crying with discomfort and not one thing has been said or done.

Patient Advocates Australia

Full marks to Dr Mandy Evans who went the hard yards for my patient during her recent admission for a very complex mental health problem. Working with a patient advocate is a new experience for many health professionals and I am always grateful when my case management role is incorporated into the patient's team. Together we had a really wonderful outcome

The most miserable hospital one can come across. My personal experiences are: Waiting for an Endocrinologist Appointment for four and a half years and still waiting, seeing and Urologist waiting since 2018, to see the Liver Clinic no answer after months. It is disgusting that Canberra citizens and taxpayers have to wait forever, whereby people from NSW are having priority and filling up the waiting rooms of the specialists. I will file now an official complaint with the Member of the Federal Government as this situation is beyond understanding. By the way, last time I was stationarily treated at Canberra Hospital I caught Staphylococcus aureus or in plain English Golden Staph. Well done, Canberra Hospital!
