I would just like to thank these wonderful people who did my sister's new kitchen. She is very sick at this time and although it was basically an insurance repair, they went above and beyond of what they could have done and the kitchen is just beautiful. I can't thank them enough for what they have done for her and also my friend who recommended them to her and did so much to help out with it all as well. Thank you all so much we are all very grateful.
I could not have been more thrilled with my experience from every member of the team at The Cabinet Men. From design to install I loved working with the entire team (including wonderful Debbie Admin). Nothing was ever a problem and they always found a solution to ensure what was in my head would also functionally work within my kitchen. I appreciated when they suggested other ways to do things whilst still achieving the look that I was after. They never told me something was too difficult, they simply said they would find a way to do it. "Cant do" is not something you hear from this incredible team. Their eye to every detail was greatly appreciated.The end result is unbelievable. I couldn't recommend them high enough.
Not a dream kitchen, a nightmare. So bitterly disappointed with the finished product. I provided clear pictures of what I wanted, was assured they knew what kind of kitchen (Shaker style) was. We made some changes. Silly me, I blindly trusted they knew what they were doing. Was told that 'they' made a 'Captains Call' on the embellishments, rather than providing a new walk through plan for me to approve. Hugely overpriced, poor construction. Cheap appliances. Confused administration staff. No communication between trade and 'captain'. Disaster.
A year later. Unfortunately we are still disappointed. "Soft close" option on one draw has stopped working. Other soft close parts have popped out when the cupboard is open. Have had to get the stone masons out to clean bench tops. I was advised this stuff was the toughest, but I have to treat it with 'kid gloves'. It's a kitchen for god's sake.! What really irks me about this build was the owner. He acted like he knew what I wanted. I showed him pictures of a particular style, and what I got was a plastic rendition that he thought was similar; and has already dated. Furthermore, on closer inspection, cupboard doors are poorly cut with a couple of doors at least 3mm lower than their opposite. People, if you want someone in touch with interior styling, who will create something that is in keeping with your wishes, then go elsewhere. Substandard appliances; have had to have my dishwasher serviced three times so far. An overhead that is so loud I can't hear myself think. Just a huge disappointment, for a huge amount of money. The owner did a bad job. It's what he wanted for my kitchen, not me!!!! Shop around and get what YOU want.
My husband and I have had two new kitchens built by Bill & Ben plus one kitchen renovation and several pieces of solid New Guinea rosewood furniture pieces. We have always been delighted with the finished product and the level of service, professionalism and courtesy shown towards us. Having said that we have never expected them to choose our appliances for us and we have always had a very detailed brief of the work we required. We chose never to have soft close cabinet furniture as a result of the closers failing on a very expensive vanity unit we purchased from one of the plumbing supply shops. It takes less effort to disconnect the soft close hardware and gently close the door or drawer manually than it takes to be so bitter and confused that you have to constantly write negative reviews. The hard working team at this business do not deserve the constant criticism by one obviously disgruntled client. Remember you catch more flies with HONEY than you do with VINEGAR.
These guys are the most professional cabinetmakers in the North. And Shane is amazing at ensuring that kitchens work properly as well as looking fabulous.
We found Bill and Ben wonderful to deal with, they listened to what we wanted, making suggestions to help us come up with the perfect design that utilised the existing kitchen and unused area, without compromising on space. Even the final price was not earth shattering, considering the size of our new stone island bench, side benchs and gorgeous glass splash backs. Our kitchen has gone from small & cramped and looked like a last minute thought when the house was built, to a kitchen that is can only be described as amazing and magazine worthy. Everyone that has seen it is most impressed and can't believe how it has been transformed into a flowing open planned entertaining kitchen where guests can be part of the preparations. The new appliances we had choosen intergrated into the kitchen perfectly. We found all the staff (Shane, Andrew, Deb in Admin, the kitchen men & tradies) from Bill and Ben friendly, courtesy and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I find it a pleasure to cook in my kitchen now and have renewed my love of baking and creating meals for my love ones.
