In January I took my external hard drive to the store as it stopped mounting to my computer. Considering it is five years old that’s normal. I asked if the data could be removed and put into a new hard drive. I was told that was possible, and charged almost 400 on the spot as a deposit. I was emailed a link to a login and website which I could apparently check in on the progress of the job. It was never updated. I called after a few weeks to check on oeuvres as nobody called me despite assurances this would happen. Several phone calls later I was informed my hard drive had been sent to a third party for diagnosis and repair. Over the next few months - yes, months - I called many times to see if there had been progress. At some stage I was told the third party would take up to six months and possibly a further 1400 to complete the job. Parts needed to come from China. In one text message I was told the part was delayed because of Chinese New Year. I dropped my hard drive off in January. By now it was May. I called and after informing Gadget Doctor I had spoken to Fair Trading it was agreed the job would be terminated. The technician told me I would not get anyone else on the Central Coast to fix it, and would be lucky if anyone in NSW could do it other than their third party. It took a couple of weeks to get my hard drive back, then several more weeks and many phone calls to get a refund of my deposit, from which a 70 service fee was deducted. Today I took the hard drive to another technician on the Central Coast on recommendation from a friend, and in five minutes was told the job could be done in house, for 250 plus the new hard drive. I’ll let this review speak for itself.
Needed data recovered from a hard drive. They were able to retrieve all the data in less than 24 hours. Great service.

I came here a while ago with water damaged phone. JUST TO GET MY PHOTOS. The owner was wearing a "'wireless ESD wrist strap" BIG RED FLAG. Was enough to convince me he doesn't know what he's doing. They wanted to send my phone overseas to get fixed. Had my device fixed at the shop down the road, in about 15 minutes.
i would highly recommend they have fixed all my office computers on manny actions as well as my phone several times and we have never had a problem
Absolutely disgusting service. I will never use or recommend this business to anyone. I paid 90 upfront and after a week of emails they had still not even looked at it.... They tell lies about the progress of the work and have absolutely no idea what is going on. When I went and collected my tablet after a week of them doing nothing, the technician literally threw his arms in the air and walked off... Later that same day I had a call from them stating that my tablets was being looked at and they should have an indication of the problem soon. I said, "so it is being looked at right this minute, as we speak"... he said, " yes, right this minute". I then informed him that since I collected it this morning it was impossible..... Just a joke from start to finish... never again!!!! GADGET DOCTOR, PLEASE DONATE MY 90 TO CHARITY BECAUSE YOU DID SWEET FA FOR IT!!!!!
