Book Heaven. If you combined a Dymocks, an antique store, and a library shook them up and left them to stew for a few decades you'd end up with something like this. It's got a vast selection but give yourself some time to enjoy browsing because you're going to need it.

Amazing range and prices. I love supporting independent book shops, the owner is truly passionate about books and is always fast to give you recommendations based on what you are into. The store itself is chockers but in a nice way, it can be hard to find somethings so I recommend allocating atleast 15-20 minutes.

Loved Cantys for years but too many books may be a bad thing. Struggled to find some stuff with random pile of books about the place, but the price and variety were perfect as always.

A lot of books in a free order, so it might be quite a quest to find the ones you are looking for. There are some basic categories, but nothing is guaranteed and your, say, favourite detective author might be found in Wellbeing or Sci-Fi. Seriously entertaining mess. But you can ask a local lady and she will guide you (don't bother asking a dude though, he's not the sharpest tool in that shed, you'll just get irritated and waste your time). Can recommend the shop, just add more time and patience!

This is a hidden gem of Canberra. Amazing range of new and mostly secondhand books. They have something on most subjects spread across three packed rooms. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to unearth a gem or five!
