I started donating blood last year, been something I've wanted to do for a while now and since I've had three kids with no more, can give blood regularly and have been doing so every three months. However the problems I've been having with the mobile setups in my area is laying down on my back, makes me ache but just went through it. However, after visiting Frankston for my first plasma donation just over 2 weeks ago....I'm making this my main place for all my donations! The comfy chairs were heaven on my sore back. And I'm booking myself in for plasma donations every 2 weeks, and they do it on the weekend too! I'm in the final 4 months of my PhD so weekends work better. The nurses are amazing and friendly, they've always been friendly at all the places that I've donated at. Always explaining things and answering my questions. I always have questions and curiosities, I'm a biologist so I like to watch them use their needles and draw the blood (no needle phobia here!) We have interesting chats sometimes about medical procedures, all fascinating and amazing how far science has come! Oh and the little cafe/kitchen area was adorable, you just sit yourself down and help yourself to snacks, drinks and sausage rolls and pies. Very much appreciated.
Very greedy place. Want plasma but never completed. Nurses need a bit more training to get plasma. Maybe blood donation only at this site.
I donated blood for the first time today and it was a really positive experience! The nurses really know their stuff and are super friendly and approachable. Everything is clean and welcoming, and well air-conditioned too. Plus they're generous with the snacks once you're finished! Highly recommended.
Lovely people, bit sad there were no pies in the oven.
The nurses are really nice, caring and never had a problem donating here, great cause, plus these some yummy snacks afterwards, i mean they literally have the best cookies EVER
No pies or sausage rolls meant that i couldn't build up my energy after giving so much blood.
