I'd give this zero stars if I could. Don't believe any hype. Worst fish and chips we have ever had bar none. Got some fish to take home anyway as we heard the market was better but then read the reviews on the way home. Multiple stories of off stinking fish and food poisoning. As a result I won't be opening the packs and have deep regrets about eating a deep fried prawn as it was the only thing mildly edible that's we ordered. If you are thinking about going here, forget it. I feel like it used to be an institution but maybe got bought out and driven into the ground. Unsure how anyone could produce such bad food. Needs to change owners again to someone who actually cares. Until then, stay away.

It’s easy to see why Conway Fish Trading has been selling fresh seafood for 50 years! A dozen of the freshest oysters along with a kilo of fresh tiger prawns is the perfect way to see in 2021, washed down with a few cold frothy beers and a glass or two of Veuve!
Bought 1kg of wild barramundi for 34.00. It looked amazing. Got home opened the bag and I could smell it was off but I thought no way, it must be me. We cooked it and it smelt worse however pressed on as we didn’t believe it could be off from this place. We started eating it and the off smell was even stronger. We threw it all out and put off the rest of dinner.
If you're craving for fish and chips or calamari, this is the best, cost effective place to go to for you and your family. Always fried to perfection. They also got some seafood deals at their shop. You will never regret your visit.
I have purchased seafood from Conway regularly over the last 15 years and was extremely disappointed to find that when I went in on Xmas eve to purchase fresh oysters I found that all of the oysters they were selling on this day were frozen. I understand the need to prepare a huge volume for sale on the day before Xmas, however this may be acceptable for items like prawns but not for Oysters.
