Went here for dinner last night and only one word - WOW. We had the Crispy pork belly and the Seafood Linguini and neither dish disappointed. The flavours were just sublime and the service - spot on, attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely visit again.

We hosted a small event of 24 people for our son's Baptism lunch in the 'room with a view' and we could not be more impressed with this venue! We will definitely be returning for future events. We chose this venue specifically for the amazing food! You will not be disappointed!! Every guest has commented on the delicious menu, generous portions, attentive staff and privacy of this room. Our event was absolutely perfect and we cannot fault any details. Jasmine was thorough and attentive in organising the details of the event from day one, kept in regular contact with us leading up to the day and was swift in contacting us to reschedule our event when it was delayed due to the February snap lockdown! On the day, each and every staff member was friendly, attentive and professional. Our event was perfect- thank you to the St Andrew's team.

Impressed with St Andrews Hotel. From navigating the booking post Covid in November to the event in December we could not have had a more pleasant experience. Susan was fantastic to deal with and the attentive service on the day was greatly appreciated. Food was delicious and environment festive and relaxed. So nice NOT to be pressured to have a minimum spend on the bar and no 1.5 hour sitting! Thank you

It pains me to write this review. I was a massive fan of St Andrews Hotel (then known as Pumphouse Hotel) – for years, my tradition was to visit with my brother to celebrate, and we would order the Pumphouse Burger. It was always impeccable. I am a massive burger afficianado, and have tried over 100 different burgers from here and around the world; I have always felt that the Pumphouse was criminally underrated and underknown, and should have ranked amongst the rest of Melbourne's burger royalty. However, fast forward to a few weeks ago. I brought my friend for a highly anticipated post-lockdown meal. Despite the impressive proportions remaining, the burger patty had barely any flavour. It seems the chef has been replaced and has changed the recipe, as it better resembled a rissole rather than a burger patty – there was no meaty flavour; rather, it tasted watered down with other bland ingredients used to bulk up the thickness. On the upside, the remaining burger ingredients were excellent, and the onion rings & chips were as good as before. The 666 Pink Lemonade jug was delicious, refreshing and great value. The service and atmosphere were warm and inviting as always. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously so I can once again return to this storied establishment.

Took 1 hour 15 mins to receive the food order and when I asked the waiter (bald man with grey beard as mentioned in other reviews) if the mains were coming, he had a go at me and belittled me for asking. Our party of 4 were shocked and appalled at the lack of care and compassion from this man. For this fact alone and from reading other reviews I would avoid this place. Terrible customer service.

Really disappointed with the food we were served tonight. I ordered a T-bone steak for 38 dollars, it was tough, thin, sinewy and had no flavour. The jus was watery and not reduced at all. The chips appeared to be ones that came out of a freezer bag. It was the type of meal that could be made at home, for half the price and taste significantly better. Ate leftovers when I got home due to eating only half the steak.
