Great food but serious communication / English issues with staff answering phone every time when trying to order take away over the phone. Very frustrating when they are unable to understand your order.

Delightful quiet suburban restaurant in Clifton Hill. Fine Nepalese and Indian food (have the dumplings for starters) and fine service.
Ordered on uber eats. Vegetable Korma was a weird dish. A thick tomato sauce (which by itself would've been nice) but it had peas and beans in it, so it was more like a stew. Daal Makhani (which is one of my usual go-to dishes), had way way too many spices, chucks of onion, and tasted more like a thick lentil soup. Everyone's taste is different, but I won't be coming back here again.
The Sacred Fig used to be reliably great. But the last two takeaways I've had were not so good. Although the gravy was tasty, both times the chicken in my Madras had gristly bits.Today the veggie curry was flavourless (used to be great) and the naan bread was dry. Hopefully this is just a blip.
Exceptional Indian food. Best I've had in Melbourne and closest to British level of quality (despite some nearby Indians claiming to be 'British style'). Would highly recommend the daal and the any of the dishes with mushroom. The lamb is lovely and tender too.
Brilliant food. Tried Sacred Fig several times and it never lets me down. Tried the Korma curry and cauliflower pakoda - Sensational. A little gem of indian food in Clifton Hill. Highly recommend.
I’m really sorry, I hate leaving negative reviews and I hope on this occasion it was a one off but this was really not good. My vegetable korma tasted like a pasta sauce. Really fatty, too much cream and couldn’t taste any Indian flavours at all. Sag aloo is one of my fave dishes and this one wasn’t good either - the blended sauce made it gloopy and overly bitter. I ordered medium spice for both dishes and neither even had a slight kick. Didn’t enjoy the samosas My garlic naan was smothered with far too much garlic and dripping with oil. The only thing I enjoyed was the rice and the papadums. Again, I’m sorry, I’m just being honest :( very disappointed
Extensive take away menu. Fantastic and authentic Indian cuisine, as I am assured by Indian born friends I have taken there. We are working our way through the menu, but have discovered a few favourites along the journey. Friendly and professional in-house service. Works as very high calibre comfort food, too!
