Lovely, genuine Thai cafe. Prices are very reasonable, the premises themselves were quite small and appeared clean, and the staff were friendly. I was very happy with my Chilli & Basil pork on rice - it was done the right way, minced pork with an egg on top, just like I'd expect on the streets of Thailand. We got a grilled pork skewers with sticky rice starter and the pork was pretty dry, chewy and hard. I had the thought that perhaps it's been microwaved, but who knows. It was a struggle pulling the meat off the wooden skewer, though the dish itself was tasty enough. My only real criticism is that there were no condiments at the tables. I found that my food wasn't as spicy as I tend to like it, so to be truly genuine Thai, I would have liked to see the usual 4 condiments at each table for diners to be able to adjust the Spice, Saltiness, Sweetness and Sourness to their taste. Being on Smith Street, people watching through the window was certainly amusing. At one point a junkie entered the restaurant and started behaving strangely, crouching down as if hiding from an imaginary goblin, then he laughed and left the premises. I felt a bit uncomfortable and was surprised the staff didn't immediately give him a boot in the backside and throw him out - I certainly would have! Anyway, all in all a nice little Thai cafe that serves food like you'd actually find in Thailand, not the usual dulled down stuff that the "local Thai restaurant" in the 'burbs tends to serve. I'll certainly pop in again if I'm in the area.

Just ordered a takeaway lunch from this restaurant - what fantastic value for money!! Absolutely delicious- best Thai food I’ve had in Melbourne. Once lockdown is over I will be frequenting here for sure!

Nice tasting food but mostly sauce and vegetables- less than 10% meat. Chicken and Duck was over cooked.

The food was poor; I ordered a Massaman curry. The potatoes and vegetables were a bit under cooked and the rice didn't seem to be freshly cooked either.

Ordered tofu & veg massaman curry dinner set for takeaway. More 30% veg and 70% rice. I normally don't find bad thai food in Melbourne but the taste was unfortunately quite mediocre for me. The tofu tasted a bit off and there wasn't just enough veg and the curry wasn't good. My partner who tasted also agreed.
