Visited the shop today to pick a gift for my partner, staff member was very helpful and patient! Picked a very nice journal, and put an initial. Papers are made with Japanese texture/paper! On top of that, it was wrapped beautifully as well ) recommended place!

Has to be the best stationary shop in Melbourne. Fantastic range of artisan paper topped off with a great coffee shop out the back. You can spend hours at Kami.

My friend and I had a fabulous sumi class at Kami with the lovely teacher Junko. She showed marvellous skill, passion for her art and demonstrated clearly and with joy. The painting exercises were relaxing and enlightening and the final pictures the class painted were great. After the class my friend and I enjoyed checking out (and purchasing) some products in the store. If you like doing art and appreciate beautiful art products, this is a splendid way to spend a morning.
Ordered during lockdown and everything was so efficient. Requested a change to my order after I placed it and they were super accommodating and friendly! Great service and really lovely products.
I ordered a birthday present for my friend last night and the shop attendant called me today to say that she delivered it by hand as my friends house was not far from their shop and she knows Auspost is very slow at the moment due to COVID. Stunning products and ever better service!
