If the city council mowed the grass more regular in the summer time, and trimmed back the plants growing over the BBQ area, this would be a great place to escape to with the family during the summer months. It has a grand open field, shaded BBQ area, and wheelchair parking and access. The public toilets are a short walk away. This is also a great spot to start/finish any hikes from, as there are plenty of trails leading off from the central picnic area.
