Highly Recommended!!! What a great place to take the kids, mini steam trains and locomotives all painstakingly built with love and attention to detail. Opens once a month on Sunday. You can hop on the carrages adults and kids and go for a ride on the many tracks that have been built by all the volunteers, there is no charge for anything but it's well worth a donation at the train stations to allow this community asset to keep the place here for all to attend. Large grassed areas to setup a picnic, take your own food & drink or there is a canteen for lollies etc with restroom. Plenty of shaded areas with some table & chairs but good idea to bring your own. Can be a challenge to get a close park but worth the walk

Super fun . Kids had a blast ..
Can not recommend this place enough. Fabulous day out with the family, fun for young and old. Remember enclosed shoes to ride the trains.
Wow didn't know that this place existed when covid is over you will see us here
Great place to take the kids on the last Sunday of every month. All free, and donation boxes around to help run the place. Small locks and medium ones to ride. Must wear shoes tho! Great for a picnic!
After two decades this is one of my favourite memories. Cant wait to take my kids on our next trip to Newcastle
This park is brilliant! So many fantastic locos and rolling stick here, and all the members brilliant engineers and enthusiasts in their own right! Probably one of the best model track layouts I have seen in Australia
I love coming to this place...creating great memories for the family. The lines can be a little long for some rides but as the saying goes, patience is a virtue. Well worth the wait anyway. Plan a family picnic or birthday here. Open last Sun of the month except for Xmas (not open)
