Dr Egan and her team helped me achieve the family of my dreams - I am a single mother by choice and gave birth to my second daughter with Dr Egan at Melbourne IVF. IVF is such an emotional rollercoaster and Im so grateful for her guidance and wisdom throughout the whole process. My IVF experience was made all the better through the consistency of Dr Egan’s support - she did the initial briefing when I was first investigating IVF, she became my obstetrician and performed the procedures, and she also delivered my baby and did my after birth care. The whole process went on for almost 2 years and the more she got to know me the better she could anticipate my concerns and preferences and the care felt really personal and attentive. I really appreciated that Dr Egan worked hard to give me choices and empower me to make my own decisions where possible, but she was also firm and gently assertive when needed as well. Dr Egan is incredibly warm, practical, empathetic and knowledgeable and I highly recommend her services through any IVF journey.
We had an excellent experience with Dr Egan. We found her to be compassionate, thorough, and invested in our fertiliy journey. I never felt rushed and I always felt my concerns were taken seriously and my questions answered. Dr Egan provided a clear treatment plan and I felt confident that I was receiving the highest standard of up to date care, giving us the best possible chance of a healthy pregnancy. Highly recommend.
I have been through another obstetrician before I was referred to Dr Egan and I can say that I’ve had the best experience with her. She is very knowledgeable, thorough (you can ask her any question and she will give you straight answers), very professional (there’s no long waiting time in her clinic, I didn’t spend more than 30mins in the hospital whenever I go for an appointment), VERY CALM (she has this calm nature even under lots of pressure, I had emergency caesar and there she was still very calm and smiling, this helped me put my stress at ease as well) and VERY CARING. I am a high risk patient after losing two pregnancy and she monitored me closely during my entire (third) pregnancy, I can call her ANYTIME of the day whenever I have concerns and she responds in less than 5 mins. There was a time I had to go to the hospital on a sunday and she went there to physically examine me, it only took her 10mins to go after I arrive. During labour, she did all the procedures herself, the midwife was just there to monitor me but it was Dr Egan who inserted my IV cannula, foley catheter, did internal exam, she was at the hospital the entire time of labour. I have this beautiful baby boy now and it’s all thanks to this very amazing doctor, it’s very worth it and I wouldnt stop recommending her to my friends and to anyone looking for the best obstetrician.
Extremely intelligent tecnically proficient and a smart doctor. One of the best in the state at the moment. She sailed us through a big hurdle in life. Lots of good wishes from the little one who is 2 now.
Dr Egan was our second opinion, at a time where we had all but given up. From the first appointment she was honest and open about what needed to occur in order for us to have a real chance at becoming parents. While recieving treatment we found Eleanor to be exceptionally supportive, she explained each step very clearly and always went above and beyond to put our mind at ease. Nothing was ever to much for her, she always made herself available to answer any questions we had, which is invaluable when you are in the middle of such a stressful time. When we did get our positive result, we felt like the entire clinic celebrated our success, from Eleanor's beautiful receptionist Fiona (who is an absolute angel) to all the gorgeous nurses. We never felt like a number, which was really important for us. There is no doubt in our minds had it not been for Eleanor we wouldn't have our beautiful baby girl.
Can not speak highly enough about Dr Egan. After a years with infertility and bad GPs, I chose Eleanor based on her video on the IVF Website, as I didn't get a good vibe from the ones I had been recommended (by GP's who kept telling me nothing was wrong) I picked perfect! She is warm and caring. Always willing to explain everything to ease my anxiety. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and her bedside manner is impeccable. She immediately worked out our main issue and we were able to get pregnant twice with fertility drugs not even IVF. She was always available for questions and made the process as stress free as possible. Unfortunately the pregnancies were not successful and now we need to look at IVF and Sadly Dr Egan is on Mat leave. We have been referred to another Dr who I DO NOT like. I can not wait for Dr Egan to return to work.
Dr Egan is an amazing doctor. She always had the answers to all my questions and made me feel supported every step of the way. Highly recommend her !!
