Pretty flowers. Fun free activity. Plenty of space around for picnics. Close to the beach. Next door to a park space. Not a huge fan of the mosquitoes but I guess it depends on what time of year you go.

**BEWARE MOSSIES - we visited around 17:00 in January. Take some bushman's I wish I did. Other than that there are plenty of beautiful scenic walks with lots of options and information throughout. Amazing smells and colours throughout. Unfortunately the greenhouse is only open during the week days. Enough toilets around and seating areas to relax.

Beautiful spot for a wander, especially as you can grab a coffee from the tearoom. Recommend wandering along the waterfront, then up the hill to the gardens. Take the smaller, winding paths - just don't forget the mozzie spray!

One of the best heritage garden in Australia. My favorite spot in Geelong. Great outdoor place with family and friends.

Many different flowers, plants and trees. Grassed areas for relaxing. Little creek and ponds behing cafe. Cactus area. Hothouse has many plants. Lots of butterflies and bees when we were there.

Beautifully kept gardens with a good variety of species. However, the mosquitos when we visited (late December) were so terrible that they detracted from the gardens - well worth bringing repellant.

I am not big fan of botanical gardens, but I need to say that this Botanical Garden was really a very special place to visit. Smell of some plants was absolutely fabulous, and energy of that place was very good. I had time and place to relax, enjoy my self, and it was one of my highlights of my visit in Geelong. This place is definitely worth it to be visit if you are in the area. I will be definitely back!
