I would love to give this a 5 but the deplorable quality of the food is so bad that it outweighs that everything else is so good. There is no reason as to why the food should be at the highest of prices but the poorest of selection and taste. It really needs to be overhauled and it would not be that hard to have half decent food. Everything else was fabulous. We had a cabin which I would highly recommend especially if you are doing something active like mountain bike riding or motor bike riding or touring all day when you get off the boat. The cabin was great and the bed and pillows awesome. Well worth it. The customer service was really good and the staff were really helpful with the on and off off boarding. I highly recommend traveling this way down and back to Tasmania. Wasn’t too tough either. They were Covid safe, had a souvenir shop, live music, kids games area and a poker room.

Absolutely the best way to cross Bass Strait. Inside the ship is clean and well laid out with lots of things to keep you and the family entertained. Cabins are small but functional and you should be able to sleep well.
Super rough seas or calm, I personally always enjoy the journey. I've done the crossing 12 times and enjoyed every one. Go to level 10 outdoor decks when coming into dock.
Had a great trip on the Spirit of Tasmania. Plenty of things to do and see. The staff and crew were great and very friendly and helpful.The cabins were clean and comfortable and a great way to take your car with you on your holiday.
If it’s in your budget or enough left on the credit card. Have a enjoyable journey and upgrade to the deluxe room. Wine and chocolates on arrival. Comfortable bed, spacious room with the best view. No noise or vibration. Recommend
Oh dear, we had to come across on one of the roughest crossing they had had in a while..we were in a cabin thank goodness. Still a great way to cross so you can use your own vehicle.
Clean cabin, food is overpriced and not amazing. Boarding and disembarking procedures are well organised but can take a long time. It took us an hour from when we were told to go to our car to when we finally drove away from the port.
Great experience to travel from Melbourne to Devonport. We enjoyed the amenities onboard such as the cinema and indoor playground. Food and coffee were fine too. The staff is overall friendly and helps during the cruise. Boarding could be long but everything is done so that it takes as little time as possible. Overall a great experience.
