Unprofessional... the place/location itself is lovely, a couple of the staff members should not work there they should be replaced with more professional,compassionate and understanding people, something they lack!! They have failed my daughter big time who has struggled for years with alcohol abuse. They know where I’m coming from.

I have seen the results of a number of people I know go through Dooralong rehab and I am amazed at the persistence and patience of the staff and the manner in which they manage the live in rehab program that generally lasts 12 months.Not everyone I know lasted but that is simply the story of addiction.On the flip side I have seen people succeed who were unlikely too and this was due to the staff and generally the salvos program.A world class facility just a pity Govt's don't put enough funding in.
This is a place of compassion and help for those wanting to change their lives.
Awesome place, helped me quit a 20yr addiction. But be prepared to put on 20kgs..
Dwayne Eastham says thank U for your help.i didn't think anyone could or would run down the salvation army,who r not perfect,yet sold out to helping people.u r not a real addict to run a rehab like door along down.beautiful food,friendly company,an make good long term friends,staff always willing to help anyone with a good an grateful attitude.basktball,tennis,volley ball,gym,table tennis,pool table.oh and a pool.go for a row in a coonooe,or give aqua golf a swing.run down that,from bn in addiction.alone,depressed,dog eat dog world,bn used,abused,no money,no real friends,to dooralong...has it got faults ..every where does ..may I ask,do U,???desire change,coz they will receive U Bak with a broken an contrite ...bless U,an thank God for the Salvos
Good, its a lovely spot to recover. And the staff are wonderful.
Currently a participant at the dooralong transformation center. The program is excellent, the staff are compassionate and caring, overall its an excellent facility to recover and find yourself again.
They sent me home with someone else's medication abd refused a change over, showers and toilets are covered in months of black mould, and you must wait a minimum of 45 minutes at reception, canteen, for your support worker etc, takes up to 1.5 hours for your designated apppointments with workers etc, and your expected to do everything around that, groups, aa/na/ga meetings etc before being allowed to leave and then you get accused for nothing
