Boodle

Great little place offering a cosy bar, lots of seafaring history and some terrific live events. LOVE the sea shanty evening on Thursdays really fun and very friendly.

Update 31/01/21: Seafarers just keeps getting better and better. We love the beer garden and courtyard areas. Today we went for lunch. They're serving delicious South Melbourne Market sausages between 12 and 4 on Sunday afternoons. Original review: Great place to drop in! They provide assistance and accommodation to international seafarers who dock at Melbourne's ports, but it is also open to the public. Plenty of interesting items of Melbourne's maritime history to see. They host lots of cultural events, art showings etc. There's a bar and pool table. Spaces to rent for events are available too.

Nice historical building that combines a seafarers club, little cozy bar, museum, place where people play boardgames and a chapel/church. I would't go there on a regular basis but it's definitely worth to visit at least once.

A beautiful place for a gig. I really enjoyed the music and the atmosphere created by such a lovely peaceful place. It is pretty easy to find and it's a wonderful building to explore.
